What Are Cialis Tablets?
Cialis is a prescription treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED) in adult men. Cialis tablets contain 20 mg of tadalafil, a PDE5 inhibitor that boosts blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal. It’s not a hormone or an aphrodisiac—you still need sexual stimulation for it to work.

Cialis helps men with ED get and maintain a firmer erection. It’s designed to:

— Remain effective for up to 36 hours after taking
How Do Cialis Tablets Work?
Tadalafil relaxes blood vessels in the penis, allowing more blood to flow in when you’re sexually aroused. This makes it easier to achieve and maintain an erection. Without stimulation, Cialis won’t work.
How Should Cialis Be Taken?
— Take one tablet at least 30 minutes before sex
— Swallow it with or without food
— Don’t take more than one tablet in 24 hours
— Limit alcohol, as it can lower effectiveness or cause dizziness
Cialis remains active for up to 36 hours, giving you flexibility around when sex happens.
Are There Any Side Effects?
Like all medicines, Cialis may cause side effects, though not everyone experiences them. Most are mild and pass quickly.
— Common: Headache, back pain, indigestion, muscle aches, flushing, blocked nose
— Uncommon: Dizziness, blurred vision, eye pain, nausea, nosebleeds, low blood pressure, fast heartbeat
— Rare: Prolonged or painful erections, sudden vision or hearing loss, chest pain, allergic reactions
Stop using Cialis and speak to a doctor straight away if you notice chest pain, an erection lasting longer than 4 hours, or sudden vision changes.
Who Should Avoid Cialis?
This medicine isn’t suitable for everyone. Avoid taking Cialis if any of the following apply:
— Erectile dysfunction isn’t a concern
— Nitrates, “poppers” (amyl nitrite), or riociguat are being taken
— There’s been a recent heart attack or stroke
— Blood pressure is low, or serious heart or liver issues are present
— There’s a known allergy to tadalafil or any ingredient in the tablet
— Under 18s and women should not use this treatment
How Should Cialis Be Stored?
— Keep in the original packaging to protect from moisture
— Store below 30°C
— Keep out of sight and reach of children
— Don’t use after the expiry date printed on the pack
— Don’t throw away via household waste—ask a pharmacist how to dispose of unused tablets properly
