Description
What Are Priligy Tablets?
Priligy is a prescription tablet that treats premature ejaculation (PE) in men. Priligy tablets contain 30mg of dapoxetine, a fast-acting SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor). It’s designed to boost confidence by improving control and delaying ejaculation during sex.
What Are Priligy Tablets Used For?
Priligy is used by adult men aged 18–64 who struggle with premature ejaculation. It’s designed to:
— Improve control over ejaculation
— Increase time before climax
— Support a better sexual experience and boost self-esteem
How Do Priligy Tablets Work?
Dapoxetine works by increasing serotonin activity in the nervous system. This helps delay the reflex that causes ejaculation, giving you more control and lasting power during sex. It doesn’t affect arousal or erections—stimulation is still needed.
How Should Priligy Be Taken?
— Take 1 tablet 1 to 3 hours before sexual activity
— Swallow whole with water—don’t crush or chew
— Avoid alcohol, as it can increase side effects and reduce effectiveness
— Do not take more than 1 tablet in 24 hours
Take only as needed—this isn’t a daily treatment.
Are There Any Side Effects?
As with all medicines, some people may experience side effects when taking Priligy. These are often mild and short-lived.
Common:
— Headache
— Dizziness
— Feeling sick or nauseous
Uncommon:
— Fatigue, anxiety, trouble sleeping
— Sweating or feeling irritable
— Digestive discomfort or diarrhoea
Rare but serious:
— Fainting, especially when standing up too quickly
— Mood changes or suicidal thoughts
— Seizures (very rare)
Stop taking Priligy and speak to a doctor if you notice anything severe or unusual.
Who Should Avoid Priligy?
This medicine isn’t suitable for everyone. Don’t take Priligy if any of the following apply:
— No diagnosis of premature ejaculation
— Taking antidepressants or MAO inhibitors
— History of heart problems, such as arrhythmia or heart failure
— Severe liver issues
— Under 18 or over 65
— Allergic to dapoxetine or any ingredient in the tablet
Always speak to a GP or pharmacist before starting Priligy, especially if you have low blood pressure or a history of mental health conditions.
How Should Priligy Be Stored?
— Keep tablets in the original blister pack
— Store in a dry place below 30°C
— Keep out of sight and reach of children
— Don’t use after the expiry date shown on the pack
— Never dispose of medicine via household waste—ask a pharmacist for advice
