Duac

Duac is a topical gel used to treat acne. It contains clindamycin (an antibiotic) and benzoyl peroxide, which work together to reduce bacteria and inflammation while helping to clear blocked pores.

You may start to see an improvement in acne within 2–5 weeks of using Duac, but it can take up to 8 weeks for full results. Use it consistently as prescribed for best outcomes.

Duac should be applied once daily, usually in the evening, to clean, dry skin. Use a thin layer over the affected areas and avoid contact with eyes, mouth, and broken skin.

Common side effects of Duac include skin dryness, redness, peeling, or a burning sensation. These are usually mild and lessen as your skin adjusts to the treatment.

When using Duac, avoid products that may irritate the skin, such as harsh exfoliants or alcohol-based products. Speak to your doctor or pharmacist before combining treatments.
